"DM Neuman constructed our home in 2002-2003 and we were and still are happy with the result. Not only did the project come in on budget with no surprises but the Neuman team helped us through all the stages to the point of small details like selection of hardware for the bathrooms, tiles as well as more important suggestions on insulation etc. After the walk through we were given a book with all the names of the subcontractors, their address, phone and other contact info. "We first started working with DM Neuman in 2000. At that time there was a lot of building in our area, so we interviewed several builders and architects. Many were 1 or 2 man operations and we kept hearing about the difficulties getting subcontractors. We looked at properties they had built and spoke with several of their subs. They started our home in March and we moved in the day before Thanksgiving, on time and on budget! In 2008 we used them to build a large addition which also came in as promised. Over the years we had minor issues, especially before we moved in full time and they were always there to advise and help.

The first was exterior which included replacing all fascia boards, new gutters, painting entire house, resurfacing deck, new deck railing and small stone wall. All work was done in a timely fashion. "We had DM Neuman enclose two lofted spaces. The first was our master bedroom. The second was a "living space" that we NEVER used---it was more like storage for all the world to see. They put walls on both of these spaces to make them legitimate rooms and added closet space that has been life changing. The quality of the construction is top notch. The woodworking and painting made our 1980's home feel like new--at least these two spaces. What I appreciate most about DM Neuman is the thoughtfulness and communication. They were good about double checking on a decision before they moved forward, which for me was important as I tend to be a little wishy washy. I appreciated that if they found something as a result of the work that was being done that could be improved for our safety or convenience, they let us know about it and then let us make the decision on what to do or not do about it.
